must register for all classes. Tuition
is due when you register for a class. You will receive a
class supply list for your class . We expect
that students will purchase supplies and fabric from our
shop. Bernina and Elna sewing machines
are available by reservation for classroom use. Please call

Cancellation
Policy: You may cancel up to 5 days before a class. You will receive
a store credit for tuition costs only. Cancellations 3 days
prior to class dates are non-refundable.
Student
Discount:
There is a 20% discount on
all fabric, class supplies, and all purchases of non-sale items
at the Norton House for a class. Please tell the clerk before
the sale is rung up.
Due
to health & allergy problems to perfume & scented products,
We insist that students not wear these products to class.

" First
Saturday Club - Stash Pot Pie"
First
Saturday Club – We
are pleased to announce that we are going to repeat the popular First
Saturday Club! The first meeting will be March 3rd at
9:30 am and we will meet on the first Saturday of every month
for 12 months. Membership for the complete 12 months is
$10.00 but each member must attend and bring the completed
project from the month before. If a meeting is missed,
without an exceptable excuse, the member must pay $5.00
to keep their membership current. The program includes patterns
for quilts and projects especially designed to use up fabrics
from your stash of fabrics. We will have FREE
fabric scraps for club members to use with their stash.
Each meeting will include:
1) Information on many of the new items that are currently
available at the Norton House. 2) Show and Tell on the last
months project
3) Door prizes.
4) Instruction on at least
one quilt block.

Club"
Bernina
Club – This
class is open to all owners of Bernina Sewing Machines. Each
month a very useful class is taught to teach new skills in
using your Bernina Sewing Machine. There is also an informal
question and answer time to help you to understand your machine.
The February Meeting will be held on February 10 th . The
program is “Free Motion Quilting with Bobbin Work”.
The March and April meeting dates to be announced.

Apron - Ever
wanted to make a simple gift for someone or yourself with a yard
of fabric and some bias tape? Join us for making
a simple 40's - 50's style apron, the kind mom or grandma use
to wear. They make great gifts! Buy your fabric and bias tape
here at the shop and get the pattern free. You might even
have time to make two! If you have colored bias tape at
home you want to use up you'll need two packages otherwise we'll
have an assortment of colors. Beware, everyone will ask
you for one when they see yours.

Beginners
Class -
If you would like to learn to sew/quilt but reading
a quilting book or our class list sounds like a foreign language, membership
in this class will be perfect for you. You will learn the basics
as presented in Alex Andersons book “Start Quilting, 2 nd Edition,
with Alex Anderson.” Each week you will make another part of
the Rail Fence Quilt. Each week you will practice the procedures
for the current project. Sewing machines will be available for
your use in class. You will then complete your work at home and
bring it back the following week. You may also do your homework
in our class room using our machines at no additional cost. The
club will meet one time a week for 3 weeks Tuition: $30.00 for
all 3 classes...
Textbook: Start Quilting by Alex Anderson. Student
Price $10.59. Each student must have their own copy.
Instructor: Linda Derby, Tuition: $40.00 for all 3 classes.

Machine
Quilting Demonstration – Let
us take the mystery out of machine quilting so you will be
able to machine quilt your next quilt or quilting project.
After this class you will know the basics of machine quilting,
the information needed to continue at home. You may practice
your new skill in our class room with one of our machines.

Your Quilt with Style
Finishing
Your Quilt with Style – Your
quilt top is completed, now what to do next? Take this
great class/ lecture and learn about borders, bindings,
and finally finishing your quilt! Please bring your sewing
machine to practice the techniques taught. Bernina machines
are available.
This is a 2-hour class.
